Followers of this blog and the press will recognize this as the pamphlet, published in 2021 and printed at home by me for $0.80 each + postage. It will still be available in pamphlet form, printed more professionally, and possibly cheaper; stay posted. This Amazon version is at least available now, here from this site.

It was intended to give the average outsider a good general overview of what Quakerism is. It is, after all, a discipline to live by Truth and integrity, and to have as your community people who may feel differently about the exact role of God, Christ, the Holy Spirit, and the literal doctrines of mainstream Christianity. Many Quakers today do not call themselves Christian; if so, what do they have in common? This pamphlet will explain.

That's right - it's a pamphlet, the size of a quarter sheet of paper - 20 pages, all personally printed, folded, trimmed and stapled. I have kept the price (below) down in Quaker fashion without making any deals for amount or other things. You simply pay the costs of putting it together and getting it out there.

It's kind of a labor of love to crank these out and send them out, but that's for another post. Here I'll say that the cover was intended to be black and white, but still has several versions, similar to this, and is now being printed in color. Color used add significant cost to the operation, but it no longer does. Here are the prices.

which is about $2.80, anywhere in the US, media mail, if I'm not mistaken. I'll pay for the little brown envelope and the trip over the 8700-foot James Ridge, that I need to make in order to mail it.

It is a Quaker songbook. I got about a dozen of them once, for free, on the understanding that I'd pass them along to someone who could use them. They are still taking up space. My children are not singing Quaker songs, and I'm losing my hearing. I'd be glad to send them along. Write me.

New Children of the Light, Maurine Pyle's book, is now available free in pdf, from the Quaker Religious Education Collaborative. I'd like to make a plug for them in general, as they seem to collect a lot of good resources. Below is the cover of her book as it was produced and distributed by Createspace/Amazon. Quaker Plays for First Days

This is a book of plays that were used for First-Day education in Southern Illinois Friends' Meeting. It was published about a year ago, but is now available on Kindle. All profits go to Quaker ventures, namely Cloud Quaker itself.
